BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
1) Our quotations are generally valid for 15 days unless otherwise stated on our "Freight Quotation" form; 2) Cargo movement is facilitated per "ALPHA LOGISTICS WORLDWIDE FREIGHT FORWARDING TERMS AND CONDITIONS" as revised, as well as any policy, governing rules, agreements, authorization instruments, and/or other forms requiring completion and return to process and facilitate freight movement; 3) Fuel surcharge (fsc) may vary slightly as published or provided by pre-carrier(s) at time to loading; 4) Documentation (shippers letter of instruction, packing list, commercial invoice) are generally included in our fees unless broken out. Special/additional documentation or filing required per cargo content or "known" destination country requirements may attract additional documentation fees to be applied; 5) If shipping vehicle(s), special fees will be assessed for AES filing and pre-clearing through CBP; 6) If shipping hazardous material, special handling fees above normal documentation will be assessed; 7) All shipment departure/sail and arrival dates/times are estimates and subject to change without notice; 8) All documentation are required to be in office at minimum ninety-six hours (96 hours) prior to cargo sailing/departure or before container is in-gated - whichever is sooner. If shipping vehicles, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires a minimum of 72-hours (seventy two hours) to clear vehicle titles for shipment AND Alpha Logistics Worldwide requires original titles and relevant information in office at least (120-hours) one hundred and twenty hours (5 days) prior to container/ship sailing or ingate at the port in order to properly facilitate mailing and pre-clearing; 9) Failing to provide complete, accurate, timely, and necessary cargo information may result in extra handling, shipment change/roll-over, storage, pre-shipment demurrage, and/or detention fees applied by CBP, relevant Port Authority, Pre-Carriers, Carrier, and any other party handling your cargo; 10) Cancellation after "Freight Quotation" has been accepted either in writing, email, fax, text, or verbally will result in applying deposit to offset handling charges and further billing for all charges duly presented by the various parties affected; 11) All fees provided in the "Freight Quotation" are not final until either the vessel has sailed and/or additional charges/fees/penalties/fines attracted are presented in a "Final Invoice"; 12) Upon request, a complete breakout of all transactions and services fees with related charges will be provided; 13) By accepting to ship with Alpha Logistics Worldwide (ALW), you are agreeing to indemnify, defend and hold harmless, ALW and its parent, predecessor, successors and affiliates and their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents from and against any claim, damage, loss, fine, penalty, fee, expense, or liability of any type or kind whatsoever incurred or sustained by them, arising out of, based upon or relating to the forwarding and carriage of the cargo as a result of any carrier or regulatory penalty, fine, claim, or judgment.
